Pat Garrity

My oil paintings are studies of the beauty and light of the eastern end of Long Island. I studied art in college but went on to several different careers before turning to landscape painting as a means of interpreting the awe inspiring nature around us.

I am a member of the Southampton Artists, East End Arts Council and an associate member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club. In 2011, my painting “Wind Over Cooks Lane” won a 2nd place medal in the Painting division of CLWAC’s yearly show and was in the exhibit at the National Arts Gallery in Gramercy Park, NY.

The subject matter of my paintings is the interaction of light and form as it appears in the manmade objects and nature that surround us.
